Reviews of the new Woody Allen film, You Will Meet A Tall Dark Stranger, are coming in thick and fast now that is on a more general release, at least in the USA. The movie stars - amongst many others - Freida Pinto, who can be seen with Woody Allen in the photo. Most reviews seem quite positive, although I still get the feeling that there is somewhat of a media ennui with Woody's pictures of the last decade, no matter their quality. Anyway, some linkeroos for you:

Detroit News:
""Stranger" doesn't have the fire and mortal wit of "Vicki Cristina Barcelona," but it's certainly in Allen's upper echelon of work over the past decade. And that's quite an echelon. If you like Woody, this is a must-see."

Washington Post man didn't like it so much, but it seems like a fair review, and does not go over the same old ground that normally forms Woody criticisms:
It's a highbrow romantic farce, without the laughs.

Ebert likes it. Just.
"You Will Meet a Tall Dark Stranger" is every frame a Woody Allen film, but it isn’t very much more.
